A few hundred dollars were raised for Camp Victory at a Christian rock festival in the mountains last month. Rock on the Mount, hosted by Mountain Bible Church, features acts primarily involved in ministry. A band from Oregon, Johannes, headlined. This trio is well known at Mt. Hope Bible Camp, another American Missionary Fellowship camp. It was their first appearance in Santa Cruz. Members of Mountain Bible Church played as Gospel Days, fronted by camp worker Mark Adams.
The festival, first organized by Roth Rind two years ago, benefitted four missionary points: Camp Victory, Missionary Todd Brown, an African well project and micro-loans in West Africa.
Several campers from Lakeside Community Church and Mountain Bible Church attended, making this a fun event. Greg and Maureen Sanders came, too, and it was great to see them.
